On April 9, SAIC Volkswagen officially released the exterior official images of the Lamando L GTS model. The new car is equipped with the same 2.0T engine as the Golf GTI, making it the high-performance version of the Lamando L. The new car has completed the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology filing and is expected to go on sale in the second quarter.

In terms of appearance, compared with the regular Lamando L, the new car's front face adopts a blackened mesh grille and a blackened front lip. The grille does not feature a "GTS" badge inside, the exterior rearview mirror covers are blackened, and the rear is equipped with pulse-style flowing LED taillights. The red GTS badge on the right side of the trunk shows its identity. The new car's exhaust is a dual-outlet setup with one on each side, and the blackened lower surround enhances the sporty feel.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with the same 2.0T engine as the Golf GTI, with a maximum power of 162 kW and a maximum torque of 350 N·m, possibly matched with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
Dada Review: The Lamando L is a compact sedan under SAIC Volkswagen. Its exterior is stylish and richly layered, and the frameless doors and liftback tailgate give the Lamando L a sports coupe feel. The Lamando L currently on sale is matched with a 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission, and consumers complain that the transmission has issues such as abnormal noise and jerky gear shifts, while its configuration also falls short of competitors. SAIC Volkswagen has not yet announced the price of the Lamando L GTS. Referring to the Golf GTI with the same power, it is expected that the price of the Lamando L GTS will be set at around 200,000 yuan, and the specific price is still awaiting the official release.
